[quote="Dave K."]Be disappointed to lose Balmforth, has fantastic potential, saying that as someone has mentioned about, we are very strong at hooker, a couple of highly rated prospects including Hodgson.
Similar to Wynne, has a poor attitude by all accounts and not the best trainer.
Only 19 though, don't like to think we give up on him. Heard the same about Abdul, but as soon as out of Hull environment he starting to play to his potential.
I hope I'm wrong, but don't see Pearson paying a fee, especially someone who would be much sought after and wouldn't be cheap
I don't think we are flush with cash, but announcing we have paid a fee for 'highly rated current England International' gets some pounds through the shop and ticket office, sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate.

Yeah I ageee, be vert happy with this signing,, the type we need to make.
Not heard or seen this rumour anywhere except here, just can't see it.
Maybe it isn't Hull's choice, you can understand why both Balmforth and Staverley would be a little disappointed not to have made more appearances by now.
As mentioned above though, he pathway at Rovers looks pretty blocked, while he should be close to the 17 for Hull next year, with Houghton and Lovodua gone. Similar to Staverley
Disagree really Staveley and Balmforth both had fitness issues so why would they get selected to play first team
Tongue in cheek, but If, as has it has been suggested, we will be releasing Andre, would be good to offer him to Wakey, as a swap for Kelepi Tanginoa (spelling?) . He is one player I'd love to see in our backrow, think he's got a bit of Willie Manu style about him and has always looked a standout whenever I've seen him play. I seriously doubt either player would be keen, though, unfortunately.

Staverly has been playing big minutes for Newcastle, so can't be that unfit.
Balmforth could have done some short spells with Hougthon last season, much better option that JJ.
I'm not saying they should be playing everywhere, but they could have been given more gametime to see what they can do. Could potentially lose them both now, we could come back to haunt us in the future like Litten.

We don't have a quota spot and despite him being a good player, he is a but injury prone too

Yep , would have to get rid of a quota player first, forgot about that. Get the scout who works for Salford on board, that would be a good signing, if Motu is busy!
