It can be a strength, if they're already settled in the UK, reduces the risk of the player being homesick when they arrive like McKinnon or getting up to speed with super League if they've already played a few games.

Can see Abdul getting jettisoned from the Dobbins.
Something doesn’t feel right between him and Peters.

He also seems to be getting his own guys in, maybe at the expense of what local players they do have.

If Abdul had kept his gob shut, he might have had another opportunity here. Can’t see Pearson sanctioning him coming back though.

I think it's always hard for a player to move clubs half way through the season, even more so as a young half back moving from Oz. I wouldn't be completely sold on Schneider but feel like you would start to see improvement off the back of a full pre-season/more time to settle.

Me neither, I’d be more inclined to look at bringing our Jez back, always thought he’d make a good half, and has proved his utility value, fit as a lop, and a West Hull boy.
