James Bentley spent the CC week in Perpignan. Could be off to Catalans?

I wouldn't have Hutchinson, he is a utility player, we need a halfback, looks too slow and not creative enough. Think his best position would be LF, but although he has filled in Ok for the Roosters at 7, I don't think its the right position for him.

Not bothered either way on Bentley, good player, but comes with a bit of baggage, what worries me is the need to sign at least two more backrowers with only one quota place, 3 if Ashworth is lined up to play prop, I don't see any other Domestic OOC players that would add to the 17.

I'd like Bentley but accept he's a risk. On his day he is a tremendous competitor and would bring some much needed mongrel to the team. It'd be a big job for Smith to keep his head straight though so would understand if he doesn't fancy it.

He'd fit in at Les Cats. Their kind of player.

Exactly this. We need 2 SR's. One place should easily be covered by a quota player but who else is there available unless we have someone in mind. Maybe we should have kept Savelio?

It's going to be one hell of a recruitment process.

Definitely think we should have kept one of Griffin or him, only reason I can think we didn't keep either is Smith has someone lined up, maybe a contracted player like Sutcliffe. Be very disappointed if we end up with Lane, Ashworth and a quota player as our back row options.

As you stated earlier Ashworth plays more prop these days and Lane sadly has been poor the last couple of years.

Plays?
anyone seen him play lately or even play.
Worries me that we have signed someone who cant or isnt prepared to try and force himself into Huddersfields 17 when they know they are moving on even when Hudds are down in forward numbers like Trout and Jones

It's OK, he said that Liam Sutcliffe was a poor signing.
