Yes the supporters are paying to go to games, but AP knows and so did Kath, that as long as we aim for top 8 and win the odd playoff game, the majority of fans wil be happy. That's settling for mediocrity, just getting by, doing just enough to please the masses.

Id say we're like Canberra but with a worse coach, both can't attract a decent signing and can't string of results together.

What do you suggest then, that supporters don't go to games? Have you never come across the law of diminishing returns ie the less you put in, the less you take out. There's nothing, other than paying for our tickets, Hull FC live, programmes, shirts etc that supporters can do. You can rant all you like but at the end of the day we're powerless to affect what happens within the club. None of us are happy with the current state of affairs but no amount of sounding off by people on these forums is going to change anything, unless of course you know something that we don't.

Problem with Campese is he's held together with blu-tac. Adam Dykes all over again.

Yet hasn't be played every game this year, he also played 17 games last season.

Hopefully his injury problems are behind him, just because he isn't good enough at NRL level isn't a big deal, Dobosn can't get a game for team that is worst than Canberra. Also when you think Matty Smith if one of the best halfs in the league, you dont have to be world class just a good brain, kicking game and organisation skills.

It's a bit of a risk. If he can stay fit for for the majority of games and play in the big matches then he'll be great. And if he only misses a few, or we rest him regularly then I'm sure our young half-backs would relish those opportunities. He's loyal, a leader who commands respect and would be inspirational in our young, local team.

Or, he could be a bloody great albatross with a recurring knee injury. Here on a long contract, his big wage would mean we can't sign cover for him so would be forced to thrust underdone kids into playing in games they just aren't ready for. If it went wrong, his signing could condemn us to several more "transitional seasons".

[quote="Hessle Roader"]What do you suggest then, that supporters don't go to games? Have you never come across the law of diminishing returns ie the less you put in, the less you take out. None of us are happy with the current state of affairs but no amount of sounding off by people on these forums is going to change anything, unless of course you know something that we don't.

I think you're missing his point.
Why would you pay money for something you're not happy with? You wouldn't in any walk of life for any service or product so why is or should watching Hull be any different Just because you're a fan.
I love Hull FC I'm not ashamed to admit it's been a big part of my life for over 40 years but why should I be expected to turn up religiously or be referred to as a lesser fan if I choose not to pay my money for the dross we are currently being served. Loyalty in sport is a very emotive and divisive thing. Some people in order to promote change think that unless revenue streams are hit the club will just continue to lumber along as it is. Some like yourselves will just go regardless. Neither is right or wrong when it comes to passion for the club.
You state you're not happy with the club now so what if the actions of those you are actively disagreeing with force a positive change at the club. How will you feel towards those lesser fans now?
FWIW I won't be renewing my pass if we continue as we are now.
The last time I didn't renew was Agars last season with us, not saying I changed anything here.
I was positive and optimistic about Radfords appointment hence why I bought a pass again but sometimes enough is enough.

Again on the recruitment issue as stated in HDM I can't believe I actually agree with I think it is the first 3 posters. Fed up of false dawns and promises. I'd rather us invest in a top quality coach first and foremost and use that as a stable building block instead of the unsteady foundations we currently have.

Ive watched every NRL game this year and he isnt injured cos he is never tackled he goes nowhere near the line never mind takes it on and my pops is recovering from hip surgery and in a foot race there would be one winner and he wouldnt have an aussie accent, having said that im not saying he wouldnt go well but ud have to have the right partner for him or this years pairing would look good

Fair comment, I think he would be good if fit but we never seem to get lucky with stuff like that

No worries. I've not see him play so am not qualified to have an opinion on him. Just hope that whoever we get can finally get us moving in the right direction.
