[quote="Hessle Roader"]What do you suggest then, that supporters don't go to games? Have you never come across the law of diminishing returns ie the less you put in, the less you take out. There's nothing, other than paying for our tickets, Hull FC live, programmes, shirts etc that supporters can do. You can rant all you like but at the end of the day we're powerless to affect what happens within the club. None of us are happy with the current state of affairs but no amount of sounding off by people on these forums is going to change anything, unless of course you know something that we don't.
I think you're missing his point.
Why would you pay money for something you're not happy with? You wouldn't in any walk of life for any service or product so why is or should watching Hull be any different Just because you're a fan.
I love Hull FC I'm not ashamed to admit it's been a big part of my life for over 40 years but why should I be expected to turn up religiously or be referred to as a lesser fan if I choose not to pay my money for the dross we are currently being served. Loyalty in sport is a very emotive and divisive thing. Some people in order to promote change think that unless revenue streams are hit the club will just continue to lumber along as it is. Some like yourselves will just go regardless. Neither is right or wrong when it comes to passion for the club.
You state you're not happy with the club now so what if the actions of those you are actively disagreeing with force a positive change at the club. How will you feel towards those lesser fans now?
FWIW I won't be renewing my pass if we continue as we are now.
The last time I didn't renew was Agars last season with us, not saying I changed anything here.
I was positive and optimistic about Radfords appointment hence why I bought a pass again but sometimes enough is enough.
Again on the recruitment issue as stated in HDM I can't believe I actually agree with I think it is the first 3 posters. Fed up of false dawns and promises. I'd rather us invest in a top quality coach first and foremost and use that as a stable building block instead of the unsteady foundations we currently have.
