I’m not sure all the details of his controversy but from what it looks like, he had sex with a very young girl that was only just legal (when he was 23) whilst he was doing school visits. Does that make her 18 or 16?

Either way it doesn’t really sit well with me as it’s an abuse of power.

2 of our signings this year I would’ve avoided. Let’s hope they at least perform on the pitch.

In addition to the controversial nature of the signing what the Canterbury fans say on their forum (The Kennel) playing wise doesn't make for great reading.

Still there has been many players who have been written off in the NRL who have excelled in SL.

Sounds like the Watson deal isn't dead in the water. I'd like him as a 9, less so as a 7.

Ese'ese who's had a drink driving ban
Ashworth who's been in court for alleged theft and criminal damage
Okunbor who chatted up a 17 year old school girl

Hope Tindall and Pele are good eggs

A lot of people saying it’s a poor signing pedigree wise, that I’m not too sure of.

The blokes made 17 NRL appearances this year missing one game (averaging 50 minutes and scoring 2 tries ).

Comes across an average NRL player who can cover a few positions.

Which in reality means he should be decent in SL. Obviously not coming to retire either

not seen a lot of him,but what i have seen,he seems fairly good.im more concerned about the halfback situation,the contingency plans we supposedly had in place,dont seem to have come to out.have we delayed to long,watson is not a 7 for me.
