Are people expecting household Oz names as signings as if so theres gonna be a lot of disappointment? This is likely to be a 3-5 year plan starting from an appalling squad that Smith inherited. Weve been an average to poor club on the field for a few years now and not a very attractive proposition for incoming players so some punts have to be taken. Ese'ese and Okunbor could be revelations but they could equally be very poor but as a club we have to take these punts. Even with new players/team we'll be lucky to get in the top six as lots of other teams are strengthening too but an improvement in our style of play and a never give up attitude will do for now imo

Some fans need to get their heads around the days of signing Swain, Kearney, Berrigan, O'Meley, Fitzgibbon etc are over, the gap in finances between SL and the NRL is huge. Previously youd have expected some of the older players from the World Cup like say Warea-Hargreaves to come for a pension now its more lucrative just gradually fading away in the NRL or their second grade.

Schneider having a decent game for kr, I think he would be a good signing for us if hes wanting to stay in super league after this season
