Just curious if people see Houghtons Decline, he's what 31/32 now, he's on a big contract and I don't think his recent performances justify the wage now , certainly not an extension unless it's a sizeable wage decrease to reflect him having passed his apex. We also have Johnstone/Cator.

Ratu we can also cover with Swift. And Cameron Scott will be better for some loan experiance.

The most obvious problem for me would be a Kelly replacement as Connor doesn't have the running game we need and it becomes abit stagnant and predictable when he plays alongside Sneyd it just doesn't click. As we saw when Connor was moved back to centre he put Fonua through twice straight away. Connor/Fonua partnership all day long.

Definatley need a running half back.

Very quiet on Carlos/Shaul renewals. Shaul I'm not bothered about I don't think he warrants a big contract increase , whereas Carlos is worth the money

Also anyone hear we missed out on Rob Butler from London, heard we d almost signed him but Warrington nipped in

Not heard about Butler, Carlos is a must, a very strange few seasons ahead. If we retain Ellis, Shaul and Houghton and extend Sneyd and Taylor then I think we can all see franchising "make do and mend" ahead. Would never have signed Jones, he is a plodding pudding, if he wants to waddle off, let him.

If we adopt the new rule change from the NRL then i would keep Shaul and use him as a running 9.
No such thing as a hooker now in R/L its just another half back position and the new rule would suit Shaul,and i can see R/L clubs moving faster mobile players into this position.
Houghton i am not bothered about and Jones in my opinion will be allowed to leave if we can get a decent fee.

Maybe contracts on hold whilst rumours of AP wanting out/selling the club/already sold the club etc. Are either extinguished or proven to be correct.

Heard over the weekend, dismissed it. Heard it again since, and is actually on a Hull City forum from Saturday too.

Maybe APs rants in early lockdown were a sign of wanting out, or diluting his stake....
