Fair enough. We've complained about a lack of kicking game for years and when a bloke comes along who isn't perfect but creates a couple of tries a game from kicks it should be recognised as a positive contribution in my book.
His defence has been poor and his kicking in general play has been shocking most of the time. He looks slow and (bradford game apart), has created little with ball in hand. If you feel he's the man to take us to the next level then fair enough. Personally, I don't

Deep field kicking has not been as good as I'd hoped for sure. Attacking kicks have been excellent - his bombs come down with ice on regularly causing serious bother for the opposition and his grubbers are excellent. His defence has been no worse than Rich Horne's in my view. Not saying he's international class but he is better than average and better than what we have had available - Dykes was a great player but mostly unavailable as we all know. If he's replaced by a world class hb I'll be as chuffed as the next man but we are a better team than last year because we have 2 hb who complement each other.
The decision on Crocker was due on March 13th, so it's 7 working days overdue.
Doesn't surprise me one bit. As I said on one of the locked threads, this is a pretty big decision for the UKBA and while it could come tonight it may be another few days at least. If they refuse it again it could mean open season on people with convictions. If approved it could mean people like Eastwood and Carney trying to jump on the "bandwagon", so they have to be careful to get it "right" from their perspective. Not sure if it still happens but the decison could have been sent back to the UK for a senior official to decide.
Of course they may divert the team coach to Heathrow on Saturday to pick Michael up......

Think that you are being a bit harsh for this season. however, am not sure he is the 7 to take us to the next level.

With Thorman on the park R Horne is playing a lot of great rugby ..He has got freedom ..Other teams have to watch 3 play makers Berro /Thorman/and R Horne ..That why we have won 5 games we have halfbacks on the park TOGETHER dictating the play ( My opinion)
I know this is Hull FC, but I think its silly to think that the club won't have a contingency plan in place in case Crocker doesn't come. I'm sure that the club are looking at other players just in case. If he doesn't come then I really hope we try and sign a top centre this year as thats the only position at the moment we are weak in in terms of consistancy

He was never signed as the man to take us to the next level, hence the 1yr deal.
The only problem i have is that if he makes a mistake, nobody says anything yet Calderwood for example is getting stick left, right and centre, which is unwarranted imo.
Briscoe is a outstanding prospect but we are making him out to be a world beater,he should be used as cover when Raynor is fit(if he comes back into the team) but shouldnt be let nowhere near the centre position yet.
