| I'm pleased to see Agar publicly supporting Lauaki. At the same time I'm also pleased to notice that he recognised he has a fiery temperament and other teams will play to that. If I was Agar I'd sit Lauaki down and show him some old videos of Trevor Skerrett playing, especially one of a 1980s semi-final against Cas. IIRC Keith England had given James Leuluali a bit of a roughing up, Skerrett waited his time and hit Beefy with one of the most perfectly timed tackles I'd ever seen. Even a packed Elland Road could hear the "ooooooommmmmmpppphhhhh" as all the air was knocked out of England's lungs.
There's a lot to be said of the old adage: "vengeance is a dish best served cold".
Don't look to retaliate straight away, be patient and wait you time, it will come and when it does, give it back in spades

I know what you are saying but sometimes it is hard to control and with the added emotion of a big derby game it will have been even harder. Forgetting the Derby he has controlled himself reasonably well this season.

| Lauaki's agression can be a huge asset to us but it needs to be harnessed in the right way. That said it's easier said than done to calm him down, when someone does something he doesn't like the red mist just seems to come down and he lashes out. You can't blame teams for roughing him up, what Rovers did wasn't sportsmanly or even within he laws of the game but if they had someone like Lauaki in their team I would hope we would try to wind him up too. The problem I have isn't really with Rovers tactics, but with he way the ref dealt with it as the ref judged him on his reputation rather than what was happening in front of him. Thats the way I saw it anyway.
That said he seems better than he was at the end of last year so maybe Agar is making progress with him.

A few 'wendy wobins' have said Lauaki was the dirty bar steward, for nutting Websters elbow.

| I was worried when I saw Lauaki against Hudds and Crusaders after his standard-setting performance against Saints. It looked to me like he was trying too hard to live up to the hyped reputation he'd suddenly acquired, and this resulted in a bit of indiscipline.
But since then he's definitely more sinned against than sinner. I think he's aggressive but not illegal and most spats have been self defence as a result of players not knowing how to handle him or proactively trying to target him.
I was wincing from the Golf stand during the derby as it [iappeared[/i that he was losing it a bit, and it just goes to show how things can be misinterpreted in the heat of the moment when you're too far away to see clearly. Every one of those incidents watched back on the telly showed, as we mostly acknowledge, Lauaki as the victim.
We've needed someone like him for a couple of seasons, now, and thank god he's here. Good on Agar for flagging this publicly. If he needs to follow this up in the media he should because we cannot afford for Lauaki to become stifled.

| Team's see Lauaki's temper issue's as an easy target to get a piggy back up the pitch, Its up to Lauaki to keep his head at heated moments in a game.Any team playing against Hull would be stupid not to try and whind him up, its easy yards or an easy two points.
