I rate him and wish we could have got him last time his contract was renewed. As someone on here pointed out recently when it was suggested though, he'll be 32 before the year's out. That's not really someone we should be looking at paying a transfer fee for, he may not have much more than next season left.
There aren't any top quality established British props I think we could get even with a transfer fee. The best I think we could realistically do is to buy someone with potential. I've mentioned Paul Johnson before, a small fee for him if Wakey were interested wouldn't be a bad idea IMO. Can also play back row, which would suit our needs as well if Lauaki's going.
