I think as Supporters we need to help if we can ?
Some form of fund raising would help our Club survive .
I think people have needs closer to home in all honesty, once furlough starts reducing in August the redundancies will only increase, I know a lot pf people who ahve taken payment holidays on mortgages, credit cards, loans, even insurance etc. and just spent the money, all of that is going to need paying back, nobody has yet tested the water with income protection insurance etc. (as far as I am aware) to see how 3 or 4 months on 80% pay and not paying the premiums pans out if the worst happens and you get made redundant. RL is, ultimately, a luxury purchase that quite a few wont be able to afford short to medium term, let alone donating money to a private business.
We may be euphoric and heading to Brid in the sunshine, but those brown envelopes will start to drop on the doormat very soon.
Leeds expect to lose £4m because their business model relies heavily on extra income from the stadium facilities, like I expect KR will 'lose' more money than FC because of cancelled concerts etc. It is the Ltd company that will incur the losses, not the 'club' as such.
Nobody has yet looked at the wider economic impact of Covid on towns in terms of vastly reduced (in some sectors, to zero) income, how many FC/KR/City fans are taxi drivers, hairdressers, plumbers, decorators, labourers etc. that do 'a bit of cash work here and there', undeclared income hasn't been topped up to 80%.
Some very tough months, possibly years, ahead.
