Top nine is Parcell would like him here but it doesnt make sense when we need to use our quota spot on a halfback or second row so for that reason i think its just a story from the pub.

I know we need a halfback but we also desperately need a another big mobile second row.
I just wonder whether the club are prepared if necessary to start the season with a makeshift halfback combo until Trueman is back and use that quota spot on a second row

I wouldn’t write off Hoy & Truey been a good partnership.

In reserve grade over in Aus he played in the halves about 40% of the time and full back around 40%. NRL he played more fullback because ponga continuous concussion issues.

Hopefully with a good preseason he can tidy up the position and sort his hammy injuries.

I think with the walker & Smith signing we’re crying out for a back rower more than anything.

With a stronger pack we can rely on trueys short kicking game. And we also have a full preseason to work on DH, Truemans & Hoy’s long kicking game.

Luke Thompson set to join Wigan. If he's fit he'll be a huge addition, it's a big IF though going off his last few seasons at Canterbury.

Wonder if anyone will have to leave to accommodate him

Thought the same, saw a post on Twitter which has their squad of forwards, Shorrocks to play LF would be a great signing, loan or permanent. I've mentioned this before, but just don't rate Cator, for all the stick Lane gets, I don't think Cator is much better, very good defender, but we can't have a LF with stats like these if we want to progress.
