Or we've signed a young Fijian International with a strong running game and an offload who should improve us in the middle of the park.

Hodgson has identified a weakness in the team and is attempting to remedy it.

Yeah Hodgson did really good this season identifying weaknesses and remedying them

You could argue that he did at the start of the season. Before the COVID break we were comfy for a top 6 spot.

Unfortunately old habits set in, injuries hampered us and a skinny one dimensional squad assembled by the previous coach come back to bite us.

Hodgson is working on breaking up the boys club feel and bringing in people with a better attitude, while attempting to add depth and quality to the squad.

Lovodua might not get the headlines, but neither did Carlos Tuimavave when he signed.

Well it is his default position on everything concerning our club. Beats why he doesn't clear off, as he's threatened to do in the past.

The ever widening gulf between the NRL and SL means we can pick up players from the second tier and junior ranks down under fairly cheaply and get a decent SL player. Especially the bigger lads who don't/won't have the fitness levels for NRL. Carlos was plucked struggling to break in to the worst NRL team and is now one of the top centres in the league, Satae and Sao were short stint benchwarmers and have been great this year.

Give the new kid a chance. He's clearly a better running threat than DH. And Danny can teach him the rest if he needs to.
