The figure of $500k a season for Opacic which is getting reported can't be true, it must be $500k over the 3 years. Sue will be a good signing for Rovers, will probably come with the least fanfare but make the biggest impact.

I think Vete has been equally disappointing. I think Rovers fans thought they were getting a Satae like signing. Similar age to Satae but played far more games including a handful of games for Melbourne during their 2020 NRL title win so I can understand that. If you look at photos before he arrived over here you can see how much weight he put on. In comparison it was good business by us signing Satae and Sao.

Not sure the figures are true, 500k sounds too much, but 500k over 3 years so too little.

The average for an NRL centre just on.the fringe of the squad is about 260k, so would be a decent payout to come here.

As you say he is a steady player, string defence, not great in attack. Sue's style should suit SL.

Was calling him Text when his name is Tex a autocorrect or a Alan Partridge joke

He's a fullback that's played a bit as a running 6, don't think he is what we need.

Laughable to way Rovers handled the Takarangi situation. Should have had his contact ripped up on the spot, yet now they're having to continue paying him for the rest of season when he can't even play. I'd be pretty unhappy if that was us. Karma for keeping him employed.

I've been wondering about having Connor back in the halves. I remember watching Thurston in some games just sort of moving around all over the pitch looking for the best place to be. I know he was an exceptional talent with much better coaching but it makes me think that we could carve out an untraditional halfback role for Connor.

They were chasing Luke Brooks in pre season too, and are apparantly looking at Will Pryce.
