I am hoping Cust might be a realistic target, I think he would improve us for sure. The club may also have other overseas or domestic names in mind potentially?

Another wide running BR would be nice, but perhaps TS is keeping in mind the potential he see's in Staveley, Severs & Jebson? It's clearly the clubs aim to promote youth and he may be wary of blocking the route through to 1st grade for some of those promising young players?

I think it just shows we are going into next season well under the cap considering the squad we have currently assembled. Adam will obviously come out and say we are at full cap but if we are anywhere near it then there needs to be some serious questions asked.

As far as I am aware there is nothing in the Cust links.

Yes, agree as it stands we look to be spending comfortably under cap. Assume the outstanding covid loan is having an influence & will continue to do so until settled

Hopefully we can do some more in the market but It's obviously a challenging time

Dans latest article in the mail seems to back up what I have already said, a half and Diakhate are the remaining signings.

As the squad currently stands it reminds me of the 2021 squad that TS put together with limited resources at Rovers. Players with potential, something to prove and journeymen who he got playing decent rugby. Think we'll have to temper our aspirations for a season or two and enjoy the team / club development rather than aspire to silverware. After all, not all teams can have a hugely successful season and experience gallant defeat in a major final and a trouncing in a semi final. Would at least expect us to hold onto the derby bragging rights though!

Don’t see what all the fuss about us in signing shorrocks is . He’s average at best , and wouldn’t improve us In ability or size . We have enough players like him already , I think people either get excited just because we’re linked with someone or just because he plays for Wigan . We need players that will improve us ability wise , not just another number on our squad depth .

If it means we don't have Fash, Lane and Cator in the same 17 most weeks then I'm for it

If Smith is planning to play Cator at 13, then it is, Shorrocks has played about 70 games for a team that has challenged and won trophies in that time, can't be that bad. Without looking I'm sure he is bigger than Cator too.

States that the club have a primary target for the final quota spot but getting him to sign now other clubs are circling is the challege.

Happy with Diakhate. Looks very promsing from what i've seen and certainly has some size but we do desperately need another second rower.

I don’t mind him if he’s on top of as you say another quality second rower, but my understanding is that isn’t the case. We will be very light in the back row if we are running with what we have got so far.

Wonder which clubs are after a halfback, Leeds and Leigh seem to sorted, could be Salford.

Wasn't there a few clubs after Cust.

As long as it isn't Austin
