Be interesting to see what they are planning on doing with Ashworth. He needs to lean up a lot if they are looking at using him in the back row.
We know Ligi played second row for Samoa in the WC but prop definitely his best position.

Will they look at doing a Kallum watkins with Carlos and moving him to the backrow? similar build to Watkins.

Sign him up then after 1 good game ….. and especially if it was against us . We all know we need size or have enough smaller forwards, why top it up with another who is nothing special and better then we have . He’s that good , I don’t recall anybody saying we should sign him till someone said we was linked with him last few weeks .

Probably and no one thought he would be available, only as Wigan have signed some top class forwards.

Does he improve our 13, I'd say so unless we have a better than what we Currently have.

Played 20 games a season, last 3 years, not really had a good run in one position either, a bit like Sutcliffe at Leeds.

The thing is with every rebuild you never get all the jigsaw peices at once. Whilst it could be better im happy with how its going so far, a lot of players left who have not taken us into the play offs in years. Replaced with players with a point to prove or are young and can improve.

A rebuild has to start posting results and going in a certain direction before genuine top players will take a chance. It will take a few seasons I am sure and Id rather wait to get some more jigsaw pieces at the end of 2024 rather then a stop gap one in 2023. Our recruitment IMO will be alot better for the 2025 season as the player turnover wont be as great.

I could be wrong but I dont think we need to panic buy given that we have no relegation and some youngsters coming through.
