My first thoughts was that after comments have been made in the media about strengthening the back room staff, this was Taylor's "come get me" message to Hull. But to be honest if he wanted to be back at the club I don't think he'd go to the media. I imagine he'd have no hesitation in just getting on the phone and asking if there's anywhere he can slot in.
I can see it been the first option you said and it's a bit of foreshadowing before he gets announced back at the club later in the week.

Do we need another former player who has been around throught the recent dire period involved? I'd rather we brought in some fresh blood. If taylor had so much to offer he should have bee offering it whilst still employed by the club. We don't need more or the "jobs for the boys" culture.

Agreed, if he did have a lot to offer, other super league/championship clubs would've offered him something, rather than a come and get me article

SteveO, sorry I can’t use quote button, you state he’d have been picked up by other teams if he had anything to offer but if you read the article he’s only recently decided to get back into RL and that his heart is still FC.

I thought I read months ago just as Tag was finishing playing that he was being brought back into the club on an ’Ad Hoc’ basis. Anyone else remember reading this? Just curious.
