Yes quite a gamble and I guess he'll be a marquee signing.

Might get their crowds up to 6k.

Really need some youngsters to come through and show some talent.

As until we can afford 3 marquee signings, i think we l always struggle for quality depth and a gulf will remain between those who can afford the marquee signings.

Harsh reality unfortunatley.

Think that’s about the nub of it in all honesty. Think this season has been and is more about clearing the decks and getting the club back on sounder financial footings following the cost the club and AP took following COVID.

Hopefully an improvement on the collapses the last few seasons and the beach towels not being put out until the end of the season instead of July will see the club in a better position come the next off season.

Seems Watson is signing aging players again in Burgess who no doubt has been a solid performer in the NRL but still feel it’s a gamble on a player that age

To be honest I'm jealous, think its a fantastic signing, even at his age, he is a top NRL prop and won't count on the quota.

Sad times, a few years ago, we would have been at least in for him, but doubt we even made an offer, remember when we use to pat 6 figure fees for players or even take better players from Hudds, Cas and Rovers.

Got to hope the long term. approach pays off and we can back to signing these types of players.

Agreed, people on here talk other signings of clubs down but if we signed him, people would all be bugging him up as a huge signing for the club...and he would be.

Can’t see how Hull FC can move forward financially.
There are reported debts that need to be paid or serviced from income such as season passes and the Rovers game. There are no investors willing to join as there are no assets to invest in. Whilst Adam Pearson is wanting success the sad reality is Hull FC have on paper no way of generating any income other than a sugar daddy. I suppose the power board with a combined wealth of circa £500 million at Rovers does give them a slight edge when attracting more cash into the club. Not sure how Adam Pearson funds anything nowadays? Does he have a revenue stream? Does he have cash in the bank? Why change the name of Hull FC on companies house? Account assets seem to be his playing squad but surely they are worthless like any other SL team. Not sure how Hull FC move forward but somehow RL keeps happening season after season.

Cook report !, was on tv back in the 1980’s.
You sound like a typical dobbin living in the past.
The power board quote was funny though.

I know covid hasn't helped, but Pearson has made some big errors, kept Radford at least a year too long and Hodgson.

Would love to see what Smith could have done with the resources they both had.
