That’s why whilst this season we are unlikely to trouble the top sides hopefully the groundwork put in place during last season and through this off season will pay dividends long term.

Agree 100% I think most of us realise this season will be a bit of a long slog, I'm pretty sure Pearson said the covid loan will be paid off this year so that hopefully will free up more funds for next season and we can spend full cap again (I don't believe for 1 second we're at full cap with the squad we have at the moment). But rightly Pearson has put the club first by clearing debts or we risk being in Salfords position.

Thing that surprised me was that with Grix connection that we didn’t bring in a couple of forwards from the championship.
early days yet but okunbor was a real disappointment.

Bit harsh on him. Bet he was near top of tackle count and ran hard .Not a world beater but thought he did ok

Okunbor topped the tackle count with 41. 13 marker tackles and only 3 misses. 1 bad one which let Lewis score though, but he also made a great try saver a couple of plays before Parcell scored. He was far from our worst player and hopefully he still start offering more in attack as he keeps settling in.
