I get your point, but sts staff weren't involved in the betting. As for the team resting, maybe it was investigated and not proven.

Yeah, can't see why someone might come down with depression soon after finding out that he's tested positive for a banned substance and his career is probably over. I mean it's not as if he'd only recently had to deal with some other extremely stressful personal issues or anything.

People are accepting that on the balance of probability it's likely that he had/has depression. That's not the same as accepting it as fact.

The point being that McManus AFAIK did not try to cover up the betting scandal. The players were individually punished, but there was no suggestion that their board knew about it and lied about it and that the club was therefore complicit in the individual transgressions. This is a bit different IMO. There may be broader consequences - it's possible.

I think that the RFL would be hard pressed to justify any penalty against the club given that not a single one of the people responsible are still here - not even the BOD. It would be exceptionally easy to challenge any such ruling and win.

Depression start with worry Only people close to him will known
if he was down with it or his Doctor ..We has fans can debate it till the cow come home
