The comments on the NZ Warriors twitter post about him being released are not good. At all.
If we do end up with him hopefully he comes over with the right attitude and trys to prove a point.

I found a Parra fans forum the other day. Some were more complimentary about Evans when it was announced he was joining the Warriors.

It just hasn't worked out for him at the Warriors. It seemed he left parra due to the salary cap and injuries.......

Mixed feelings about this one. He has unquestionable had a poor season and NZW fans are pleased they've released him. He started at Roosters and was rated as a great prospect but he's never come close to fulfilling his potential. However when we were linked with him and Ma'u I watched a few Parramatta games and was quite impressed. He's a hard runner with a good offload but there are question marks about his discipline. I would imagine NZW would be paying part of his salary. I would be happy with his signing as long as he's not replacing Sao.

I have been underwhelmed by him for the past three NRL seasons to be honest. I watch the players we have been linked with more than the other squad members and it is hard to be overly enthused with Evans. He often gets caught around the rucks in defence and offensively he isn't a dynamic line breaking prop, he is steady, albeit with an off load, but I'd have hoped with BH's Australian connections, we may have got some young, yet to be established, quality forwards rather than blowing our beans on one who has a lot of question marks hanging over him, not the least of which is the fact that he'll miss nearly a quarter of the regular season while he sits out his ban imposed by the NRL, which the RL have indicated would apply in the UK too.

We get stuck into our signings, before we sign them :D

Indeed. Good luck to the guy, I hope he recaptures his previous form but that way 4/5 years ago.

I'm a bit concerned that Radders isn't learning from his previous mistakes though.

I reckon under a quality proven coach like Radders with the great players they've recruited, they're nailed on to finish above us next season. I hope I get quoted on this in the future and I end up completely wrong but I severly doubt it.

I disagree with you about what you saw of him at Parramatta but agree I'd rather sign someone like Satae, Sao or Moa who while not regular starters had all the attributes to be a success over here. We've done pretty well signing these type of players.

I didn't realise his ban would carry over. If that is the case I would seriously question his signing.
