Good luck to him, but he as past his sell by date at the FC. Adam fell out with him big style after he was dropped for disciplinary reasons after being selected in the 21 man squad for a recent game. He was always off after that. Good bit of business for us although it will have cost Adam too.
Nevertheless, great memories of some great great times but it was a vanity move to get him back by Radford, who was intent on getting his old pal back despite the Club saying that their business was already finished at the start of 2020. He arrived in town believed his own publicity and the rest is history, never got over the hype or delivered on it which perhaps goes back to the old adage that you shouldn't go back to the scene of past glories.
As Billy Joel once said, "The king and the queen went back to the green, but you can never go back there again!"
Think he'll always be remembered for his exploits in the 2016 & 2017 and rightly so but can't help but feel he's tarnished that a little with his second stint and not so much because it didnt work out more so the manner and apparent attitude.
Sadly he never looked any where close to the player that left us and can't honestly see him getting back there. I don't remember many if any at all who said him resigning was a good decision as think most thought it was wrong especially as we needed a forward not another back. Radford certainly doesn't seem to have learnt any lessons so far and taken arguably 2 of the biggest but slowest backs off our hands.
AP deserves a lot of credit as he has not just given lip service to his statement that he wasn't accepting the failure of this season and changes would be made as he has been good on his word and made the decisions.
The fact that Fonua has gone will hopefully give the remaining squad a wake up call in that it doesn't matter who you are if you do not perform or meet the standards expected at the club you will be moved on. This hopefully will put an end to the cozy club feel that some players seemed to have.
Good luck to Fonua and Cas as think they're going to need it.
