Sadly he never looked any where close to the player that left us and can't honestly see him getting back there. I don't remember many if any at all who said him resigning was a good decision as think most thought it was wrong especially as we needed a forward not another back. Radford certainly doesn't seem to have learnt any lessons so far and taken arguably 2 of the biggest but slowest backs off our hands.

AP deserves a lot of credit as he has not just given lip service to his statement that he wasn't accepting the failure of this season and changes would be made as he has been good on his word and made the decisions.
The fact that Fonua has gone will hopefully give the remaining squad a wake up call in that it doesn't matter who you are if you do not perform or meet the standards expected at the club you will be moved on. This hopefully will put an end to the cozy club feel that some players seemed to have.

Good luck to Fonua and Cas as think they're going to need it.

On the contrary, his return was pretty much universally welcomed on here.

I stand corrected just don't remember it being that unless its my own thoughts at the time of his resigning clouding my recollection.

Either way his time with us is once again history and look forward to seeing the other changes being made to renew my optimism for next season.

It shows that a signing is best judged on actual performances rather than reputation, something that needs to be remembered by all should we confirm Evans.

Let’s face it, we just love a signing, but it’s just after the ink dries on the contract that the doubts start.

Mahe has been part of our wonderful times at Wembley, never to be forgotten.

As was Josh Bowden, who’s played hundreds of games for us, both these players, if they leave have played their part in our history, and I wish them all the very best.

A lot of us in the east stand we’re happy to see him go; he became a bit of a liability, lots of dropped balls, not in position in defence etc, etc, etc. should have left well alone once he’d gone, as others have commented he wasn’t pulling up t trees when he returned to Aus

Had a nosey on the nz warriors forum. And saw this snippet, wondering if it actually hints his ban doesn't carry across

"He will have a five-game suspension hanging on his record should he ever sign another NRL deal.
Warriors' recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan confirmed Evans had left the club amicably.
“By mutual agreement we’ve parted ways amicably to enable Kane to pursue opportunities in the Super League,” O'Sullivan said."

Does the ban have to be served twice as in in super league and another 5 game ban if he ever went back to the NRL? Doesn't add up.

Mixed bag of opinions some said he runs good lines hits gaps, always finds his front when tackled, and is pretty decent in defence but only good in 15 min spells, so guessing very much a bench option to spell Satae.

The negative side are he seems majorly fired up when coming on, maybe too eager to make an impression that needs curbing, but does show passion which is more than can be said of Bowden

Good read was that old thread.
Plenty of bitching and people getting things well wide of the mark.
Enjoyed it. :D
