Interesting news about Clarke. I think it's clear he's not done well when it has come to recruitment and retention during his time as CEO. But on the commercial side he seems to have really known his stuff and kept us not only going but thriving in many aspects. The club is definitely making it sound like it's his choice but you have to wonder how true that is. He's had part of his role taken away from him with the appointment of Myler so it would be understandable if he felt somewhat annoyed by that and maybe questioning his role at the club. So it could definitely be his decision. On the other hand though, is it a sign of the restructuring occuring due to the investment? I see that Pearson has said that he will be taking on the CEO role for the foreseeable future. Could our new investor be planning to appoint his own CEO or take the role themselves once it's all signed on the dotted line? Has Pearson sold off his majority of the club to make way for a new owner and will be stepping down into the CEO position permananently maybe?
Interesting news as I say. Interesting times overall. You never know what news is going to come out of the club next.
