Listening to the House of League podcast, they made a good point about signing players that will be in positions for a long period of time to build a team around, and not end up in another Reynolds/Evens/Hoy situation...does Hastings fit that bill? Couple of years at Salford, then joined Wigan, signed a 3 year deal at Wests, released early to join Newcastle, is he the sort of player to build a team round or the sort of player you'd sign because he's there and a good player but one who could leave pretty quicky if his head were turned by greener pastures
