Excellent news, some potentially some good players there.

Must be looking at different stats to me, his attacking stats are good, very high for clean breaks and tackle busts, scores and sets up plenty of try's and that's in a poor side, behind a terrible pack. Every time we have played them in the last two years, he is the only player to worry me, he was excellent in the CP derby.

I don't think talent is a worry and if he stays fit and is motivated will be a great signing.

Must be looking at different stats then as the ones I saw showed him with only 21 try assists in 2 years. As a comparison, sneyd had 42 and people complain about his try creating ability.

kelly will be comfortably the worst defender we will have though

Couldn't give a stuff about stats, if Kelly signs he'll be our best half back.

So you have compared one thing try assists? One playing every game for a top side against a bottom club player, you do know those stats don't include middle 8 games, so that's an extra 14 games Sneyd had?

Maybe he doesn't assist as much bra cause he scores so many?

Different type of half to Sneyd, he is a runner and this shows in his stats.

Defence isn't a worry for me, this will improve in a better side with better players, if want a half who can defend, may as well stick with Carlos or put Washy there.

Always thought his defence was quite good tbh.

I'm sure I have seen him make some decent tackles albeit on TV.

If a Rovers supporter may be so bold as to comment. If you can spring Kelly 40 yards from the line at full tilt then it's try time. Do you have players that can do this? I don't think that you have. Not consistently anyway. Paul Cooke was the last player that you had who could send out passes of this nature. Do you have any forwards that can break the line and then find a killer pass to a supporting Kelly? Possibly Houghton when he scoots from acting half may be able to pick him out. He does go walkabout but sometimes he has a genius about his play that you cannot coach. A very brave player who won't take a step backwards with a good kicking game. Would I sign him? Probably; but I wouldn't want him taking up a large slice of the salary cap.
