No , But neither is Tony Martin. Murphy would have been a good long term investment for the club. but not a signing we need right now.

I've mentioned this on the Tony Martin thread.

Martin is for a season and at 33 will most likely be his last contract. Whereas Aaron Murphy, is what 23? Why would he want to sign a one year deal when he has his future to think about? He would of wanted atleast a two year deal minimum. We will bring a top centre for the 2013 season.

Or maybe, Ben Crooks will be ready for 2013.

Long term invesment yes, but not when you already have Turner and Crooks for the future. They will gain experience from Martin and then also whoever we bring in for 2013.

I think the recent birth of his child may have put any skids under Sika Manu relocating over here. He would be a welcome addition to Next years squad though . Like Greavsie says , He can cover both Prop & Second rows.
