He played most of his games in the championship with Ward, Wells is commentator and powell doesn't always get his recruitemnt right, the fact he has only been given a one year deal says to me this is a gamble.

Wells has played the game as a pro.
His analysis on sky shows he knows his rugby
Of course we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes at the club but think we missed a trick not giving him more time to develop.

I always thought Crooks and Lineham would be your right edge for 10 years. Not sure what went wrong there....?

Was never convinced by Crooks really, even when he had his breakout year. Just think he had a freakish year when he got into the Dream Team. Haven’t seen anything since that proves we made a mistake in letting him go.

Lineham was decent, but Radford got fed up of dealing with him I think. He got replaced adequately at the time so no massive loss.

Defo not giving the chance to progress like masi and fash. He's got all the tools to be a good prop. But we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Anyway let's see but I can see him doing well

Maybe we have to let players go to bring someone in?. I’d have kept Buchanan in the squad over Bienek anyway if we had the money.

Maybe it's the players choice, no reserves next year, going to be tough to give fringe players some gametime.

For me Bienek looks to have to physical attributes and showed potential at London.
That said if he was good enough he would have broken in to the first team by now. There’s a reason he hasn’t pushed on more than just saying he hasn’t had the opportunity. Take Brown for example he has had limited opportunities same as Bienek however when he has been given an opportunity he’s taken it. Bienek for whatever reason when he has had a chance has failed to show the same level as Brown.
No great loss to be honest and not sure if he will or won’t make it.
I also think Masi is under serious threat now as he has to start producing as like Bienek he has all the physical attributes but just lacks the aggression.

Decision made, and time will tell if it’s no great loss, he’s still quite young especially in the hardest of positions, Powell and Cas obviously see the potential we do not.

Good luck to the lad, I’m really disappointed it never worked out.

I don’t doubt it has Dave and understand it will have been a hard 12 months. I’ve not based what I’ve said about Masi just on the last 12 months. For me he hasn’t pushed on since he first showed potential.
That’s why I think next season is going to be a significant one for Masi.

Totally agree, really though he would push in from early promise, hopefully a new season and coach can get him playing to his potential. Currently 7th choice prop, so will really have to step up to get some game time.
