Hull need to watch how some NRL sides cope with goal line pressure .Sometimes it’s better to have a big man running it out back play rather than 12 stone young lads who get dominated every time. It hasn’t worked the way we do it and because of the poor yardage our kicks have rarely threatened and teams march straight back into our 20 . Surely Grix can see that. If you are going with the kids , use the big men as the battering rams, they wouldn’t get pushed back as much and at least work their middles a bit more.

I think the problem is basically we've been working without a second row for about two years now. Weve been carrying Lane and Cator and now without a good front row they're beeing shown as completely average to poor. Next years recruitment has to focus on the second row as we need two completely new starting players who offer size, aggression and good engines. Once we sort that there will be more of a platform for the rest of the team to play from. Just a new scrum half, hooker, centre among others to sort too!

For those interested, Tex Hoy has now been confirmed as signing for Castleford until the end of the season. Good luck to him.

The other option is to move the ball with fast passing across the backline to stretch the defence.

Is Manu Mau injured?
He doesn't seem to be getting a look in at Catalans so I'm assuming he must have an injury? If not and he's just not getting picked then I wouldn't be against trying to get him back on loan for the rest of the season.
Focus on signing a second row on a permanent deal for 2025.

He's been injured all season, I doubt any players from recent seasons want to come back!
