Looks ominous though, when Leigh are a better proposition than us, which is where we are at. I'd be asking Motu to unearth a few gems, he was our best recruitment manager and found some really good players during his time with us.

Halton not in the Rovers 21, not injured either, should be looking to sign him now.

Could well be location, Hudss to Leigh is half the distance and time, could mean he could stay on his current house. Hulls location doesn't help.

Could take a gamble on George Burgess for a year.

Also need to keep an eye on Josh Hodgson, not playing well and wouldn't suprise the Eels looking to release him early.

No way on G. Burgess. Too much baggage.

The Eels have a mutual option with Hodgson for next season. Did cross my mind if he wanted a swansong over here

Been told Halton is looking to move back NW, but willing to bow to Ellams superior knowledge

That’s one of the problems being near the foot of the table. You do have to pay over the odds to sign players otherwise they have little or no incentive to join up you. We used to experience that to our cost.
