I think he's well settled there (Australia) - recently, he had a luxury house built on the suburbs of Canberra, so would seem to want to stay on over there after his playing days and , even behind a mighty Eels pack, he has not looked great when I have seen him.

I think he's guilty of trying to do too much at times, which he had to do when he was at Rovers and at Canberra as the halves weren't dominant. Now he's at Parra he just needs to give Moses and Brown the ball, which doesn't suit his style.

Like you say, he bought a plot of land while at Canberra so does seem settled

I'll give you Dobson. Thought Cooke had gone to Wakey in 2010 when Hodgson joined.

probably right, but a year or two back in Hull to top up his pension might not out of the question, same as an Aussie coming over here for a couple if years then returning, he has the added bonus of having friends and family here too. Unlikely I know, but depends if he fancied carrying on playing top flight rugby, as his NRL days are coming to the end.

Don’t think it’d suit Rovers. Just general shape of the squad and what we need. Losing Halton would mean we go from having good depth to being a bit thin in the second row. He’s also not necessarily on the outer - we’ve just got a few decent players competing for spots. He came off the bench against Saints. Yusuf Aydin hasn’t made his Rovers debut yet, so I don’t think we need Brown to fill a similar role.
