I have to say that for the majority of the game, the FC boys did not look interested.
Yes they are good in arm wrestle, which today was, but they have to rise above that.
Craig Hall - certainly not the 'go forward' threat of Briscoe.
Calderwood - tried his hardest but just isnt cutting it
Yeaman - what the f**k happened today? He's meant to be a Talisman
Briscoe - great effort, no supporting act
Berrigan - always 100% but again, no supporting act
Thorman - had his chance to win over the 'undecided' - wasted it.
Horne - great to see him improving
Forwards - not taking it from deep enough, Thackray looked up for it, but Radford, Manu, tc just didnt have the cutting edge.
Hull are best in the offload and the quick play of the ball.
But they looked tired, no bounce out of teh tackle when on the floor or on impact.
Tactics werent wrong (they dont apply as much in a derby) but if 75% of your team dont really want the win, then it doesnt mattter what you say as a coach, or draw out on a whiteboard - if your players dont want it, its falling on deaf ears.
Someone has alluded to it in an earlier post, but the Cancer in the sqaud is still there. It needs to be removed.
