Makes no difference. It's from when the player was at ANY British club, and we signed him from Cas.
I just re read the e-mail, your right.
So that makes Manu a overseas player next season regardless but he can apply to become a federation trained player next season but it wont come into effect until Nov 2010.
But that also means Motu can apply to become a fed trained player for next season as long as he applies before the end of his current contract.
I too would be gutted to see Ticks go, however can understand his dilema as he has 4 young children and his missus probally founfd it difficult to settle down here away from family
Not hving ago at the club here but do you think they do enough regarding helping players settle in new surrondings
Take Ticks for example must be hard moving to a new city with the kids as it's not as if you have family and friends you could leave them with
I don't know whether they do enough but you can guarantee that tickle is and was out every weekend with thacks & lee, not his mrs. Maybe he should have done more to help her settle?
Would not be too upset with Tickle going, he has done well and I would rather have him than Radford but not a major loss imo.
If Turner is our centre signing I would be a little underwhelmed tbh. I hope the aussie is a prop but if not and it's a british prop then I hope the aussie is a fullback or a SO.
got told that this guy Malcolm Walker (owner of MKM Building ) could be buying Hull fc to become main share holder??
any body else here anything like this??

I have heard that rumour for the best part of 3/4 years now.

I would be really dissapointed if Tickle left. I know he's no superstar but imo he's one of the best forwards at the club and an excellent goal kicker too. He's one of the few players that runs good lines, his defence is solid and he bags a few trys from time to time. Do we need to re-shuffle our pack? Yes. However getting rid of our best forwards is not the way to go about things. King looks past his best for me, he tries hard and he's got a lot of aggression (something our players lack) but he's not half the player he used to be. Radford is a very average player, makes very few metres and never offloads. He doesnt lead the team like a captain should and again his best years are behind him - get rid. Manu - beast (enough said), Thackray - offers us some impact off the bench and makes good metres however he needs to be more consistant - still has to prove his worth. Dowes - not good enough imo, yes he works hard but our wingers make more metres than him and again he never offloads or break tackles - get rid (although we won't). So to summarise... Keep: Tickle, Manu, Burnett (obviously), Cusack (already signed)
Get rid: King, Radford, Dowes
Coming in: Fitzgibbon, Lauaki
Sign: 2 big rough props
As for Sam Moa - Havent seen enough off him, if he can shapen up and condition himself properly - Keep.
Totally agree, I would be very disappointed if Tickle went as he is the only player we have who runs angles etc. He runs and drives hard every time and has a good off load if we ever get set up to use that and he is aggressive in the tackle (something we are sadly missing most of the time).
As for the missed tackles, I'm not suprised he misses some due to the fact he always gives 100% on the field and is alway on for the full 80! Some players have the luxury of getting spelled and still miss tackles!
