Game finished 8-4 to the West of Hull side. Was probably a lot more comprehensive than the score line suggests but the Easts lads deserve massive credit for sticking to the task and more than deserved their late try.
Told you the West side would win! :)

Good close game by the sounds of it.

Well done to both teams and congratulations to West of Hull on the win and Nathan Magee from Hull Wyke who got MOTM.

Commiserations to my mate Stu Gaden who coached the East of Hull team but his lad will be happy as he played for the winning side.

Also congratulations to East Hull U14 on victory today that secured the Yorkshire League Div 1 title, them and West Hull have really livened up that league and took all the trophies between the in Yorkshire and the National Cups.

Im hearing that Hull FC are wanting the 4 players per Club rule scrapped and have offered, through Mel Harman, to do the scouting for the West of Hull team. I know that Hull do scout at under 11s (a year before Rovers start) but is it really right to change the way this particular game is structured?
Have you heard anything Karl?

Not heard that but I did hear while who they wanted to do it at older age groups.

For me I love the concept and the way it allows some players who wouldn't get a look in a chance to shine.

We've (u13s) had scouts from both watching since u11s, although wasn't as frequent in the last 2 years but most weeks this season , both clubs have a different approach but FC are Also adopting the Embed The Pathway approach and tonight I've been at the session for this years U13's and it was an all clubs open session which includes coach education too.

It's certainly a new way of doing things and may rule out some of the past philosophy's and change a few people's thoughts on youth development and size dominances etc.

Well done to all the Hull teams in the Yorkshire Cup this weekend, some excellent results.

Good luck to them who have made it to the Quarter finals this coming weekend.

Some very good teams from Hull in the various age groups.

Hulls remaining hope in the under11s/12s Yorkshire cup Skirlaugh saw off Shaw Cross 15-8. Through to the semi final to face East Leeds.

We got took to the cleaners by Sidall in the u14's.

One of the best teams I've ever seen at youth level.

Oh well couple of months of nothing to do on a Sunday I guess now.
