The Youth season is well under way, all the latest info can be founf on here http://hullyouthrugbyleague.pitchero.com/

ETP sessions for U14's have been going well at both clubs, with some U13s involved at FC and the U13&U12 at Rovers in the school holidays

Primary section has started with a bang, but a lot of clubs need players, esp for the really young ages

The core skills mean nothing to fc. If you are big.strong and run straight and hard then you are in with a shout of scholarship.

Rovers. If you play for skirlaugh or rejected by fc you have a chance. Core skills have little to do with selection. I know of players being videod and their lack of core skills being highlighted but still being granted scholarship. Because they they run hard and straight.

St Mary's have just beaten Sirius in the year 10s hull schools final, last minute try & goal to clinch it 30-28, some good rugby from both sides.

Good win that against West Hull (sorry i mean Sirius).

will be glad when these schools rugby are over, some weeks we dont know were we stand as they have very short notice games and very little consideration for youth teams. Some of our lads are being made to play 2 or 3 games in a week in 2 age groups

Enjoyable weekend at Butlins for the annual Rhinos Challenge. Hull was well represented and all of the sides from Wests, Wyke, Skirlaugh and Hull Victoria were a credit to their clubs. Looking forward to next years.

Cup semi final weekend for the U12, U13 and U14/U15 age groups.

Good luck to all teams involved.

My teams got a tasty fixture away at Cottingham Tigers.
