Agree with Wilde 3 on most of his points, feel being a bit harsh on Shaul ,i believe its the way we set up we are to easy to read and opposition are ready for everything. Sneyd..well yes he has won us plenty of games with his kicking , tactical and goal however for me he creates nothing ,i come from an age when half backs ruled the roost, afraid the days of Toppo and sterling have gone. Some will say a different game but for me play basic rugby well and you get results Salford do it ,yes they have won nothing but with a far smaller squad and players who have left they still produce.

All of them, apparently all good signings = not
All signings that don't work out = Radford

Ring James Clark he'll tell you.

I’m sure I heard an interview recently where Radford said he watched every NRL reserve game, and they’ve been looking at Satae for a couple of years.
I don’t always agree with how he sets Hull up, and how we play, but there’s no denying his rugby knowledge and ability to spot a player.

The 2 biggest issues for me are our pizz poor defence and our lack of basic passing skills. At times we look like a team of 6 year olds when we pass the ball. Basic skill and the level were at is shocking.

No defensive intensity or aggression and missed tackles galore. Regularly large numbers of errors and penalties given away every game.

Radford isnt the one making the mistakes on the field but he is the one responsible for preparing the team. If it were just one or two players doing it you could blame the individual but for me it's too many of them and it happens too often for it to be down to the individual.

It seems to me things are a bit cosy at Hull. When was the last time someone was dropped for a poor performance?

As for shaul, he does have his deficiencies but you could put coote at fb for us and he wouldn't do much better with the ponderously slow and inaccurate ball hed get from our other players

Sl will, be harder next year imo with Wigan, Leeds and wire being better at least so I don't expect us to win anything but I do expect us to compete every week and not give up and get hammered every few weeks

One final point, having listened to Radford post match interview after Friday's game, where he sounded like a spoilt brat, blaming his players, it was a refreshing change to listen to the eloquent Tony Smith's interview after an equally disappointing defeat for his team where he refused to blame the players and said the buck stopped at him. Theres a lot to like about radford but he needs to stop slogging his players off in public

Leeds wont be much better , but Wigan certainly will and probably be the only chalenge to Saints dominance with Hull and Wire a fair distance behind and the rest a poor standard probably led by Cas

The best resourced clubs are Wigan, Leeds, Saints and Warrington so would expect things to settle round them as the Top 4 - that is generally the case with the odd incursion by us, Cas, and spectacularly Salford this time round. Catalans, Hull, etc need to pedal harder to offset the top group's advantages. Bit of luck either way on injuries can have a big impact, which is why it's pointless having overblown expectations, better to enjoy the journey in my experience.

Give Connor a decent run at FB, and see how he goes. I expect our attack will be improved. Shaul is awesome at times but a play maker is more important in our team. Next season it looks like we won’t have a ball playing 13 either so I think this highlights the need for a decent pivot at FB

Long term we definitely need an attack coach like Wilde alluded to. I like Radford a lot but if I was in Pearson’s shoes then I’d pay big money for a new coach. If none available then look for an attacking coach as plan B

A new captain wouldn’t go amiss either. My choice would be Manu Ma’u. Taylor could keep his VC. Literally nobody else springs to mind whatsoever... which perhaps says something about the grit and determination we often lack. Nothing wrong with a bit of change

Ma'u doesn't strike me as a captain. Shame we couldn't get Thompson he would have been perfect.

Yeah I think I’m getting mixed up with Joel Thompson!! I knew one of them had great leadership credentials
