I’m not in the East Hull bubble so as an outsider I see Rovers catching a Le Cats backlash London can best Leeds - who’s the more desperate ? It’s the prospect of Wire going 5th that is intriguing
The fact that Wire are playing on a Thursday is a travesty. Sky did the same to us a few years back. It’s as though they’re punishing teams for winning a comp they don’t have exclusive live rights to.
I think it's a shocker that they play Thursday. Shocking. It may be that they indeed emulate us and put the cue on the rack for this season after winning the CC
Good summary here - could end up 7th but still in our hands.
It does nothing but state the obvious, I could have wrote that.
I suppose with you thinking we'd finish mid table at the start of the season, finishing in the top 5 will be seen as a real coup and testament to Lee and his coaching ability by some, yourself included.
I also felt we were a mid table team before the season and did not expect much either.
No one could have predicted however how poor Leeds, Cas and Cats have been in patches or the slow start by Wigan, so to be in top 5 with our destiny in our own hands has been a bonus but if we throw it away through our own inconsistencies and fall at the final hurdle, well that will be a big disappointment to me now and others no doubt, knowing how this season could have gone had we produced good performances against Hudds, Rovers and Salford in particularly.

No one could have predicted the over performance of Salford either. Every year teams will do better or worse than expected. Some of that will be down to the opposition, some to factors within their control such as unearthing gems like Naulago.
The reality is that most pundits had us 9th or 8th and we will exceed that. People who have nailed their bolllocks to the Radford Out mast will try and discredit us, and 6th wouldn't be a "coup" as such but would be no huge drama either, but I understand why goalposts need to be conveniently shifted. A play-off finish along with a CC semi final would certainly exceed my expectations. Some folk exist for the world to disappoint them, I accept that.
