Well done to Josh Hodgson for making the NRL Grand final. All the best to him and his team next week.

Eels getting spanked by the Storm.

Did Pearson say that Ma'u was in the top 5 of NRL second rowers? 3 English lads that played tonight are better than him without even considering the ones in the other 2 clubs playing tomorrow and the rest in the other clubs.

I wouldn't rank him in the top 12.

Crazy to think that if the Raiders win the Grand Final they'll be the sixth different winner in six seasons and the eighth in ten. Three other teams have made the GF but not won it in those ten years.

We on the other hand have only had four different Grand Final winners since 1998 and only three since 2006. You have to go back thirty years since a team other than Wigan, St Helens, Leeds or Bradford were Champions.

Wouldn’t mind if defences was awful
But it was brutal, some effort those stats

I've always marvelled at the competitive balance of the NRL. It shows just how effective their salary cap is compared to ours.

It makes it a real test of how the whole club performs. I dislike a lot of their tactics but the Storm's ability to consistently unearth new talent and take players who were anonymous with other clubs and vastly improve them are a wonder to behold.

maybe so, but on the form of, say, the last 10 games he has been a stand out forward in the nrl

He must be doing something right then since he's one of the 5 nominated for Dally M 2nd rower of the year. Other nominations are Bateman, Kenny Bromwich, Ryan Matterson & Sam Burgess.
