My work is connected with KR and from that and some of my Rovers mates i get a sense of buzz from them and have done for years, a buzz thats been lacking from FC fans and indeed the club. It embraces and actively encourages local KR supporting business people to get involved with the club in any way they can which is something FC does not - FC is almost sterile to the customer or local business with very little connection and it shows. Ive got lots of FC friends too and very few have any pride or connection with FC anymore including myself. Our club is a mess from top to bottom, a rudderless ship with a captain akin to Francesco Schettino of Costa Concordia fame and thats not gonna change whilst Pearson remains at the club

Ah that sense of buzz at Hull KR. Pre record cup and Derby hammerings and relegation I guess. Lots of friends though, how lovely.

Anyway this thread is about success, and we know Lee is the most successful FC coach in 30+ years. Long may it continue.

Quite amusing he compares Schettino with Pearson.
I thought he'd see a lot more of the Captain in himself.
One of the first to f00k off as soon as the ship hits choppy waters.

Winning at Wembley again
2 Lance Todds
2 Top 4 finishes

1 SL Club of the Year
1 SL Coach of the Year
1 SL game played in Australia
£600k profit

Plus ca change etc. Still, hurtling towards disaster.

You mistake my sympathy I’m wholeheartedly a Pearson and club fan. I was pointing out that the thread you regurgitated was a tiresome club bashing. With the odd positive post of course.

I think you are a good reflection of the masses, we're pro Pearson, pro FC and pro giving Radford a chance, what we will not accept is a below top 3 finish (unless we have huge injury problems)

The bookies have us as 4th. Surely if we get 4th we've achieved expectation?

The bookies have us 4th, that is an expectation, not mine.

Oddschecker has us 5th for regular season.
Saints 3/1
Wigan 3/1
Warrington 7/2
Leeds 10/1
Hull 12/1

You can see why we attract accusations of arrogance claiming we "won't accept less than 3rd." Unfounded entitlement attitude IMO.

To be fair, if you look at odds from individual bookies most have Hull 4th fav or equal 4th favourite. They have Saints outright favourite too. Oddschecker shows the best odds of a particular bet.

Regardless of odds, if thinking Radford should get more out of this Hull squad than what Agar should get out of Leeds, then Im definitely guilty of this so called "unfounded entitlement attitude".

Re: The success thread : Wed Nov 13, 2019 10:24 pm
We need to find a level of consistency we've not seen for some time now. Defence and attitude are the main areas we need to fix with attack coming after those. If we're consistent and we go into games not feeling like we're likely to get blown away and we're competitive every week I can accept us not being title challengers. It's the lack of effort and regular hammerings and a coach who just shrugs his shoulders and accepts it that I can't be doing with. If we have more of that this year and the season fades into shizzle again then I don't think I will renew for 2021. Once of our group who has been a regular for years hasn't renewed this year and a couple more were wavering.
