Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Penalties are what referees do, and, on the whole, are random, sometimes they'll give them, sometimes they don't.

For me in regards the indiscipline it tends to be when and where on the field we offend that causes us problems rather than the amount of indescressions.

Today there was a lot of of holding down and we seemed to be getting pulled for it a lot more than Halifax and we were certainly no worse than Halifax in that department.

I'd agree, didn't feel balanced.

Take stats with a pinch of salt
Like Huddersfield had the fourth lowest missed tackles
Penalties killed us at times last season and we have a habit of finishing the set well in the opposition 10 or 20 then giving away a penalty on the first or second tackle followed by another penalty which usually led to a try. This happened several times last season.
On field discipline is something the coach can instill into players and it needs to be addressed.
When we played and won at Wembley our discipline was first class and thats what i want to see.

Think the Halifax fans forgot it was only a pre season

Is it not a done thing in SL to cheer your team on? There might not be a lot of us but we like to try and make some noise no matter what game it is. Anyway wait till you see the open top bus we have got.

It were a typical pre-season friendly, it gave the Fax fans some hope after last season and with still quite a few players missing I thought we went well only letting Hull score from 2 last tackle kick plays. For Hull it gave your squad players and reserves a run out against a decent team to give Radford an idea if any of them may be able to step up to the first team squad. Unfortunatley it looks like we have a lost a player for the season and a few knocks around both teams which is the downside of friendlies but its a tough game.

Not knocking the fans it was good that you were getting behind your team its just an observation from where I was sat as one or two fax fans were going mental as if it was a cup game. It was a good run out for both teams and all fans included to finally get a whiff of rugby again. Thought Halifax looked a decent side to be fair and hope Kavanagh's injury isn't too severe and is back playing soon.

Good luck for the season ahead

I don't think anyone would really have a go about it, and quiet frankly it is great to see such vocal support which no doubt is duplicated win or lose whoever you are playing, its in the spirit of the game and why so many FC fans really enjoy being in the away crowd, as we travel the north of England often out singing the home team. Atmosphere is everything and an ingredient that often attracts the uninitiated too the game. I guess too that it harks back to better times on the terraces in fact I guess that sort of fervour would be great if duplicated by more home crowds more often in the sometimes more sanitised surroundings of Super League games. Well done for getting behind your team and good luck for the season.
