Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I saw this earlier today
Its heavily sanded and probably re seeded but the state of the pitch for a first class stadium pre season is disgusting.
Unless they get some grow lighting in that seed wont grow in a week and the pitch will be in a right mess by the time our match kicks off

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'll be taking my bucket and spade  .

In all seriousness though I hope that the weather stays pretty dry between now and the games otherwise that pitch is going to be horrendous after Cas v Toronto.

I guess if established grass is hidden under the sand then there's a chance it'll look better in a week or so.

A chance that Houghton will be fit, for the Derby if not this game.

A timely boost indeed, match prep and fitness maybe an issue though.
A fully fit squad and the chance to lay down a real marker for the rest of the season, however.
Optimistic for a victory and feeling like a kid at Christmas for the start of the season.

Don't worry, they put that sand down on Thursday as part of the preparations for a week on Sunday so visually this is the worst part of the cycle. The Headingley grow lighting equipment is in almost permanent use at this time of year.

Anybody know If you can simply walk round from South Stand to the Western Terrace during the game like you could before the redevelopment??

Cheers
