It doesn't quite add up. Multimillionaire owner up for sinking millions into the ground purchase but not for bringing in real quality in the pack to seal safety and push for a play off place. Even if there's no relegation this year, not sure how a similar outcome position wise as last year would enable a big recruitment campaign. I'm sure it's all in hand.

The ground deal isn't looking quite so sweet now from what I've heard.

Sheens picked us up when we were at a really low ebb and laid quite a few ghosts to rest in securing promotion and then SL survival. It all got a bit grandfatherly last year but my appreciation for what he did in ‘17 and ‘18 remains as strong as ever.

Smith has got plenty of time and good will. We know we’re under cap and struggle to attract the calibre of player we’d like, and that without the likes of Masoe and Garbutt we’re going to lose the yardage battle most weeks - lowest average gain per carry in the league as of the most recently updated stats. None of that is his fault.

It was a good interview with Smith on blunderside after the game. He knows it wont all be sweetness and light this year but they will stay up without any dramas. Toronto will be bottom by some way

Cas have lost in France. Great opportunity to open a (very small) bit of daylight between us and our playoff rivals.

Didn't just lose, took quite a beating. As you say, a great chance for us tomorrow to make hay.

The referee's indecision is final

Re: Round 3 : Sat Feb 15, 2020 8:53 pm
i always say this - rovers would be better off putting the same effort into all their games. Instead they get up for games against us, but then always seem to be unable to replicate it in the games that they should be winning or at least competing in. if anyone has too much time on their hands i would love to see how their games go following a derby match
