Would Adam go for another young British coach? Probably a lot cheaper than an Aussie and he’s already in the country. Personally, I’d like to see an incumbent in sooner than later and take advantage of the suspension.

I’d take Fitz as first choice as well
Couple of years here then back to NRL as a head coach

I think you may have a point. However, he was the coach so i will give him credit for them victories.

That's a big risk with any decent young coach from the NRL, do two years in SL make a name for themselves then go back, however I'd take that if in that two years they could get us back on track.

If you do appoint from overseas,, it certainly won't be this season, with that's going on in the world.

Sean Long has been added at 20/1. Interesting one... is he still an assistant in Union?

Are you being sarcastic or do you genuinely believe that without Radford at the helm we're doomed, cast aside into the RL wilderness, never to witness another final?

Never said any of the above but pragmatism is a handy tool.

I'd take that risk of a good quality coach coming in to prove themselves to make a name back in the NRL even if only here two years but laid the foundations and structures in place and had success whilst here. St's have done numerous times and it has served them very well.

Ultimately we need the right man for the job, in saying that I thought both Last & Purtill have said some interesting stuff and the fact they have stressed that changes have had and needed to be changed since the Warrington game is encouraging.

Is that at our longest ever SL losing streak or embarrassing heaviest defeat?

He couldn't dine out on cup wins forever.

Lee Radford will go down in history for the two CC wins that there is no argument from anyone. What will also go down in history is the seasons that followed the humiliating and heavy losses, throwing away a play off berth, the failure to reach the grand final as they took the foot off the gas after the Cup win. It was clear from the off when Radford replaced Gentle that one on the major goals that had to be achieved was the gap between good and bad performances had to be narrowed and be much more consistent.
The sad fact is this is one area that LR failed to change infact I would even say we have been more hit and miss since winning the cups than we ever were under Gentle and in the context of things Radford has had far better squads than Gentle had.

In sport the saying is you are only as good as your last game and frankly other then Leeds at the start of the season we have not been good enough even in the wins against Rovers at home and away at Wakey.

Even Purtill in his interview has stated "everyone will stick their hands up and say they were nowhere near good enough. We’ve had some honesty between each other as the last couple of performances weren’t good enough. In fact, what we’ve dished up in our first few games has not been up to the standards we’ve set".

This isnt just in isolation of this season its been going on for too many seasons now yet everything had been changed other than the coach.
