Season passes, incentives & rebates : Sun Jun 28, 2020 6:26 pm
Leeds first to announce options, underlining the financial importance of passholders staying with their club; other clubs expected to make similar proposals.

The ideas from Leeds look well thought through and reasonable. Hopefully Hull will offer similar terms.

I sympathise with people unhappy at shelling out for a season ticket but not being able to attend most home games but it's not the club's fault and I'd sooner lose out this year than get my money back and then find I don't have a club to support in the future.

Agree with all that. Think we could offer similar but also things that cost the club nothing but are valuable to fans could be up weighted - stuff like attending training sessions, social distancing dependent.

Although I already have Hull Live, I would think it a good idea to offer it free to pass holders.

I think an online fans forum would be good!

I don't want anything. Just glad that the club has survived and there is light at the end of the tunnel

Maybe we could all have a go at the “boot it” challenge :)

Im not too bothered TBH , but can see how incentives might be needed. If the incentives can be at as little expense to the club as possible, even better.

Sensible ideas from Leeds.

Many will renew and not request a refund but there will also be many scared of being back in big crowds (even by October I don't think we can 100% say things will be back to normal by March for the 2021 season start) some will be struggling financially, some may simply have got out the habit of going to games and feel like they haven't missed it (lets face it our home form has been poor for ages) etc so a bit of an incentive to renew will be needed.

Best Marketing of course will be get the team perform on the pitch!

Also think there’ll be many who can’t financially afford to keep paying for a pass, irrespective of being able to go to games or not.

I’m sure they would if they could, and doesn’t mean they support the club any less.

I completely agree. I have been a season pass holder for many years, however I remember a time when I couldn't afford one, especially when we needed 4 of them. Did it make me any the less committed to my club? Did it make me any the less passionate?

It's like when people brag about how many games they have attended including away games. That doesn't make you any the bigger a fan, that just means that you are financially and time wise, lucky enough to attend all these games. I went to Australia and was booked for Toronto. I don't think I'm better than any other fan, I am thankfully very fortunate to be at a stage in my life where my boys are now adults and not a financial burden meaning I have the disposable income to do these things. 10 years ago I could never have afforded such trips. People are too quick to judge, do what is within your life means and sod everyone else.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Totally agree Karen, this situation is unprecedented and fortunately I paid for my pass upfront as was in the financial position to do so. Will I ask the club for a refund? No as thankfully I am fortunate to still be in a position that financially is not too much of an issue.

I think every fan has different circumstances and financial commitments to one another, some wil be similar to myself and there will be some where the rebate/refund on a pass will be a necessity rather than a want.
I think its fair to say that most if not all supporters who are financially able to would be happy for the club to keep their money from this seasons pass.

I would rather lose out this year on my pass to help Adam Pearson so we still have a Hull FC club for the future but understand not everyone can do this and that doesn't make anyone more or less of a supporter.

Its a difficult time for all fans and clubs a like and I'm sure AP will do something similar to Leeds as no doubt would most clubs.
