If we lose both games this weekend, as seems likely, that could be pivotal and I don't see Last surviving it. The balancing act of finances, fan loyalty, covid impacts, contracts, squad composition, coach availability etc are complex and nuanced. If we can navigate the pandemic and survive that will be objective #1 achieved IMO. .
must be gutting your negativity regards results hasn't bore fruit, you're such a doom and gloom merchant!
Shane Flanagan sacked as Assisant Coach at the Dragons.
He still has a year to serve on his head coaching ban in the NRL - not sure if this also applies to Super League.
I'd love him or Paul Green , issue with Flanagan would be he wouldn't stick around long, but if he could have the impact of Holbrook or Mcguire if would be worth a short stay.
Nothing against Last personally, but the club is crying out for someone to come in and take the team by the scruff of the neck. Even fans from other teams say that we’d become one of the big clubs with the right appointment. Think without covid we’d have gone and got someone, but not sure now.
I know money is very very tight, but I don’t think we can afford not to go and get someone that might turn us round.

I’d settle for someone coming in for a couple of years, turn the culture round, then go back to the NRL.
If a new coach does come in, we need to clear the decks so Last would need to go, he's too set in a way that is not effective unless you have a huge set of variables aligned for sustained periods and is not sustainable medium to long term both in terms of winning silverware and developing foundations for a club. It's going to take minimum of 2 years if not 3 to fully rebuild the squad properly, get rid of the driftwood and change the way our players and indeed the youth system go about playing rugby. I just wonder how long fans are prepared to wait after a few years of miserable rugby already. It does need to happen before season end so they can make decisions that have a bearing on training/personnel for 2021
2-3 years?
Utter nonsense. A good leader and tactician could turn fortunes around within 6 months as we are hardly bottom of the table fodder with the players we have. Anybody taking the "cliched 2-3 years" is:
a. The wrong person for the job b. Out of a job within a year c. Won't get past the interview stage
