Pretty much on the money there Chris, there is another avenue we could pursue, if Jones is going, move Griff into the second row, and rather than look for another second row, a centre with pace, Wardle maybe, as we will need more speed in the backs. A six as well as another prop if possible would put us in a good position.
Before ccs cancels his Christmas turkey, knowing the financial restraints on most clubs, we will be very fortunate to achieve this.
Move Griffin to 2nd row and McNamara can bring Israel Folau with him
He’s quite a controversial character is Israel, but he’s a top class centre,
I said the same when Catalans signed him but I’ll be honest, I couldn’t care less about his views & opinions all I care about is what he can do on the pitch.

So you don't care that he is a religious fundamental homophobe?

Think he will return to the NRL for the.2022 season. Our current Prime Minister is a Cronulla fan, a staunch Christian, neutral to Folau's beliefs and has the ear of the NRL boss. I believe Folau is really missing being part of the congregation at his church in Sydney where his dad is Pastor. Rumoured that at least a couple of Sydney clubs would be interested in signing him if he is cleared for registration.

Honestly don't get all this Connor at full back nonsense
He was dreadful the other night were so much slower at bringing the ball back when he's at full back and he proved its hard to do these wonder passes when your closed down straight away.
Atleast shauls a threat in open space, Connor isn't a threat at all hence why he passes it straight away from a kick

Dreadful? He went up and collected everything. Shaul has pace yes, but plays hop skip and jumps before he runs. By that time defence is up.at him. Coote always passes the ball on when he collects kicks, is he dreadful, is he no threat?
Any playmaker when, when shut down and has no time look average at best. The only thing that shaul does better at fb then conner is his support play.
But to say he was dreadful, imo is way off the mark.

Listening to McNamara last night, he touched on the financial pressures on Bernard Guash funding the complete organisation, flights, covid, etc.
Macca stated they are not a rich club, and I wondered if the Catalans time of being able to sign a lot of high profile players is over, perhaps the sale of Israel back to the NRL is inevitable.
There are stories of the NRL showing interest in rescuing our flagging model over here, the NRL are already cherry picking our finest, perhaps this could be the way forward for the Super League.
A bit naive on my thinking perhaps, but the NRL with all its riches and obvious associations with the sport, and affinity with countries, seem happy to watch the English game go to the wall.
What’s your opinion on this, understandably we are divided by thousands of miles, but is there no concern or worries for our games demise here.
