Ill give him a go - i want him to be successful and ill support him - i wanted a total change in coaching style and this could be it - fingers crossed it works but if i was a betting man id say there was a high chance of failure

Aaron Heremaia tweeted the following Tactically the best. look forward to seeing his ideas implemented next year in what I see as the beginning of a new era for Hull. Well done Hodgo and Hull

I'm very skeptical, hopefully turns out good we have nothing to lose on that respect.

Just on paper doesn't scream any different from what we have being appointing over the last decade.

there are 4, maybe 5 coaches in world rugby league where you could reasonably say they are going to be a success from the off. all the rest are a gamble to some degree, thats one of the things that makes sport so great.
i'm prepared to give him a go, just hope he's prepared for a backlash if things don't start well, he must be given a reasonable amount of time
The referee's indecision is final

Based on the fact that in his coaching career so far he has no history of success

How about you tell me why he will be successful? Less of the antagonistic name calling please. Karen.

Not many coaches who have had success are/were available though. Hodgson starts with the same success record as Lam at Wigan.

I feel for lasty. However I think looking else where was a must.
Most fans have been saying for a while we need new ideas, new staff, new set up. Well we have it.
Whilst Brett Hodgson wasn't the guy I would've looked at, he's our new head coach now, so let's back him, see how he goes and what he does before we start slagging off and calling.

Other clubs have given top jobs to coaches that arent recognised as head coaches and it's worked out well. Hell, we did it with Radders and he didn't so to bad.

Let's give him time, see what he can do.

Welcome Brett

Why not reserve judgment until we see what he brings to the table?
Then we can moan or praise APs judgment.

A new voice and new ideas is a breath of fresh air. Needed that for two years.
