Yep, we wont be the only club like this, only those which super rich backers will be ok.

Need to get the fans back in.

Our added problem is the stadium situation, though it seems Salford are also having issues.

Covid is of course a massive issue nobody could have imagined but even without it RL has been on a slippery slope for some time now. This weekend is a great example, a complete joke with the RFL and SL having conflicted interests, the players being burnt out, and net result is neither the Club game or International game looking good to new audiences.

I've said it before and I'll say it again that I won't rule out RL returning to part time in a few years, players and fans meeting up for a low cost hobby after work/on a weekend and I'm starting to wonder if that low cost model may be a better way forward.

I agree, this has been a missed opportunity so far.

2016 The Year of the Airlie Bird -on sale NOW, price £15, BUY THE BOOK RE-LIVE THE DREAM!

Adam has been pretty measured in his statements because he doesn't want to scare folks but I think its fair to say that things are a lot worse than he has indicated, debt is escalating with our only real income from the reduced levels of Sky money much reduced commercial sales and the 5000 season ticket holders with the biggest problem the SMC (The Allams) milking us dry at the Stadium. They are being totally unreasonable and not looking to help us at all perhaps quite the contrary, some have even said that they seem to be revelling in it.

Ive seen our owner coming out with such a statement for the past month or so. Adam has money but he certainly aint a multi-millionaire and he can't just keep throwing money at the club many would have walked already as Neil did, but Adam believes in trying to keep what he recognises as a historic and iconic club existing. However, you can see why Neil Hudgell took the action he did and worryingly its almost as if Adam is envious of him.

In fact the one and the only consolation I'm told is that we aint on our own in this and at least 8 of the clubs are close to the edge, I've been saying several are really struggling for ages, however as a poster indicated above we have the added issue of our unique situation at the Stadium. This is probably the biggest threat to our club in living memory. Some will read the article and say that its just shroud waving and posturing by Adam but I can assure you it certainly aint and personally I'm really worried about my Club surviving.

Playing League on The Close

Worrying state of play.

Assuming there’s no external investment, the main way of raising finance is through the fans and team performance.

Naturally this first requires all crowd restrictions to be lifted with the Leeds game at the end of July being the first game likely to benefit from this.

If this is the case, the club will hopefully market this game to target a big crowd. Adam mentioned his previous hope of issuing half season tickets. Although we miss a further two games, our final five home games are Leeds, Saints, Rover, Cas and Wigan, our five biggest home games of the season. This would still allow a part season ticket package to try and maximise the number of fans returning and getting back into a season ticket mode (perhaps with an incentive in next season’s pass).

Obviously, the SMC arrangement doesn’t help, but our home Derby should exceed 20,000, especially if Rovers have a chance of making the play offs.

After that, it’s what money we can generate from the play offs. It’s not very transparent the money that clubs can win these days, however with our next few fixtures we should see us cementing our play off credentials. With players returning to fitness, our Grand Final aspirations will increase and this should help attract more fans during the run in.

Hard to plan for the final home games and half season memberships though with the incompetent idiots running the country with seemingly no plan and comflicting policies.

Full houses allowed for the Wimbledon finals in a couple of weeks but we can only have six thousand in at the KCOM. I'm guessing a few government ministers will be enjoying corporate facilities at the All England Club.

Back in Hull.

One positive is the news of renewed contracts.

If Pearson wasnt prepared to put money in or wasnt thinking of packing it in, I'm sure we wouldn't be resigning Satae and Connor.
