To 1252 Hull fans : Sat Feb 05, 2022 1:31 pm
A few weeks ago I put a message on this site, referring to the time that I worked at Reckitts as an electrical draughtsman in the 1970s and got to know a charge hand who had many stories to tell about things that used to happen on the night shift. My reason for doing this was to find out if any one knew this character, hopefully with some details that I could possibly include in my next novel. I have already written six novels (One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn, Two Seasons and Three Good Years).
I was quite amazed this morning to discover that 1252 fans had read this message. I now wonder if my message might encourage any of those Hull fans to consider writing a novel based on their own life and times. With them in mind I have now written three pages of general advice on how to do it. Contact me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and ask me to send you Geoff Lee's RL Notes. One added benefit of taking this up as a hobby is that it helps keep you mentally healthy |
