Unfortunately Steve0, both of these teams have the luxury of investment, there is the problem, we have a poor squad, even playing at our very best we will struggle to compete, no matter who is in charge, without class in the halves, two running second rows, a hooker to replace the great Danny Houghton, and centres who can put their wings away, and add a goal kicker to this list, we are rooted with the bottom feeders.
The really poor attempt at replenishment of our squad, apart from Herman, whoever identified the rest as good replacements needs sacking.
